FST Community News

In Sunday’s Gospel passage, John the Baptist recognizes both his own specific call and Jesus as the Son of God. This was a great act of self-awareness, humility, and respect.

“A man is coming after me who ranks ahead of me because he existed before me. I did not know him, but the reason why I came baptizing with water was that he might be made known in Israel.”

-John1:30-31

Where do I acknowledge gifts in myself and others?

FST Conference

The Franciscan Movement: Pastoral Power in Action

January 30 & 31, 2026

In a world hungry for healing, the Franciscan tradition offers something profoundly radical: the belief that love is power. Not the kind of power that dominates, but the kind that serves.

We encourage you to attend all or part of the conference on Friday, January 30 (6:00pm to 8:00pm) and Saturday, January 31 (8:00am to 5:00pm), which will explore how pastoral power is lived out in the Franciscan movement today.

Registration is free.

In addition, Br. Keith Warner, OFM, will offer an Immersion Program on Friday, January 30, prior to the start of the conference [$60.00 fee].

This conference promises to be an informative and enriching experience that will complement your studies. It is also a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded people and engage with world-renowned scholars and clergy.
