FST Community News

Welcome back from a week of respite! In the readings for this Sunday, we hear how God hears the cry of the poor.

“The prayer of the lowly pierces the clouds; it does not rest till it reaches its goal, nor will it withdraw till the Most High responds, judges justly and affirms the right, and the Lord will not delay.”

– Sirach 35:21-22

How do we respond or act in ways that reveal God’s presence to our brothers and sisters most in need?

Every Tuesday, We See You San Diego hosts a dinner and distribution of clothing and health/hygiene products for the homeless community at Immaculate Conception Parish Hall in Old Town San Diego – Volunteers are needed to set up, serve dinner or clean up between 3:00pm and 9:00pm. Your participation is welcome. October 21 will be the next opportunity to serve. This will be the third Tuesday of the month, a day that some FST students and staff have committed to volunteer. Please consider joining in with us.
