In the Gospel for the fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary time, Jesus encourages his disciples to lead with a greeting of peace and even if it is not received, to leave in peace. St. Francis mirrored this action of Christ with his greeting of “Peace and all good.”
“Into whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace to this household.’ If a peaceful person lives there, your peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.”
Luke 10:5-6
St. Francis mirrored this urging of Christ with his salutation of “Peace and all good.”
How do we promote peace?
