FST Community News—June 2nd to June 6th

This Sunday, we celebrate the great feast of Pentecost. Jesus offers us peace and the gift of the Holy Spirit:

“Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.'”

John 20:21-22

Durham University in England will be hosting two virtual lectures as part of their Franciscan Studies Summer School 2025 program

Hiking Retreat 2025
“A Pilgrimage of Hope”

Date and Place: August 2nd to August 9th, 2025, San Diego Spirituality Center

What does it involve?

  • Morning prayer and input provided by Sr. Mary Frohlich, RSCJ
  • Evening reflection led by members of the group
  • Daily walks to parks in and around the San Diego area
  • A quiet, prayerful atmosphere and time for sharing
  • Room for 8 participants
  • Women of all ages welcome; must be able to walk gently for up to 4 hours
  • More rigorous hikers also welcome
