FST Community News—Mar. 3-9

As we prepare to enter another season of Lent, let us consider where we are called to convert our hearts:

“I imagine Lent for you and for me as a great departure from the greedy, anxious anti-neighborliness of our economy, a great departure from our exclusionary politics that fears the other, a great departure from self-indulgent consumerism that devours creation. And then an arrival in a new neighborhood, because it is a gift to be simple, it is a gift to be free; it is gift to come down to where we ought to be.” – Walter Brueggermann

We will not have liturgy on Wednesday, March 5. It will be Ash Wednesday.

Let us continue to pray for Pope Francis during his illness, that God is especially close to him and restores him to health.

Please pay your tuition/fees or arrange for a payment plan, if you haven’t already. According to our Academic Catalog, if your account is not in good standing, you will be charged $50 per month. We will start upholding this policy on March 15. Please reach out to Ian Luck (iluck@fst.edu) if you need help creating a payment plan.
