FST Community News—Feb. 3-9

In his book, Leading Like Francis: Building God’s House, Carl Koch states,

“Leadership is a relationship between people, and we are always in relationships with others. So, we are always leaders.”

FST’s student leadership is made up of students from both the traditional and online programs. To create spaces of connection for students, they invite you to complete this three-question survey.

On-Campus Students: Help shape the future of FST!

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be interviewing candidates for two faculty positions, one in sacramental theology—and one in pastoral theology. Each candidate is asked to present a sample class, and your input is needed! Mark your calendars for February 4, 10, 12, and 14. Each presentation begins at 11:30am and will last one hour.

The first guest teacher will be a candidate for sacramental theology on February 4, 11:30am, Coronado Hall Classroom. The presentation is “The Awe-Inspiring Rites of Christian Initiation: Fourth Century Mystagogical Catecheses and Today’s Order of Christian Initiation of Adults.” This class session will take a close look at the post-baptismal homilies of Cyril of Jerusalem and Ambrose of Milan in order to reflect on today’s OCIA (“RCIA” until recently) and, more generally, on the Church’s sacraments and on a Christian “sacramental worldview”.
