About

The In-Residence Program (IRP) is designed specifically for PhD in Education for Social Justice students pursuing a career in academia – college/university professor, administrator, and/or researcher. After two years of course work, students are eligible to apply for this option. Selected students complete the remainder of their degree (their dissertation seminars and praxis) on site. Doctoral students in the IRP are encouraged to work closely with fellow in-residence students and with a faculty member who will provide advising and mentorship. Through this program, students have the opportunity to see the life of a faculty member up close and design and work on a development plan to help them (the student) achieve their career goal in academia.
