Brianna Pressey is currently a SOLES student in the Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction program and she was selected as one of five finalists for the 2021 Teachers Test Prep \u201cPass the Torch\u201d Teacher Scholarship.<\/p>\n

Each year, Teachers Test Prep offers $10,000 in scholarships to future educators through its \u201cPass the Torch\u201d Teacher Scholarships program. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a candidate planning a career in primary education while a second $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a candidate planning a career in secondary education. Teachers Test Prep founder Robert Duncan states, \u201cWhen selecting finalists, we asked ourselves, who do we really want to make sure ends up in a classroom? Each of the finalists convinced us that they had the potential to become an inspirational teacher who would one day \u2018pass the torch\u2019 on to their students.\u201d<\/p>\n

The two winners will be announced on October 27. Each will receive $5,000 to offset school and living expenses so they can spend more time focusing on preparing to become a teacher.
