The theme for this year\u2019s conference is\u00a0<em>When and Where I Enter: Intersectional Leadership Across Regions, Class, and Classification.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Proposal submissions should clearly identify how the presentation content will address one of the following content areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Advocacy and Social Justice<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anti-Racist Mental Health and Education<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Intersectionality<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leadership Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim of AMCD\u2019s conference is to foster engagement among scholars, professionals, and students from a myriad of counseling specialties and other related fields. As such, the goal of this year\u2019s conference strives to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">encourage dialogue related to sociopolitical and sociocultural disparities experienced by marginalized populations and\/or unique cultural groups.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">promote anti-racist pedagogy and best practices.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">provide evidence-based\u00a0strategies for addressing intersectionality and traditionally marginalized identities.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">broaden scholarly research in leadership development for emerging scholars of color.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><strong>Target Audience<\/strong><\/b><br \/>\nThe AMCD conference draws mental health professionals and educators from across the country and around the world. Presentations should be applicable to counseling educators, practitioners, school counselors, counseling trainees, and related professionals across multiple disciplines.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Educational Breakout Sessions<\/strong><\/b><br \/>\nEducational breakout sessions are 60-minute or 90-minute formats. Presenters are encouraged to leave ten minutes or more for questions and answers with participants.\u00a0 Poster sessions and panel presentations are welcome.<\/p>\n<p>We are currently seeking the following session formats:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">30-Minute Poster Sessions (<em>graduate students only<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">60-Minute Education Sessions<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">90-Minute Education Sessions<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">90-Minute Panel Presentations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:59pm EST.<\/strong>\u00a0 Proposals can be submitted through the following link:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/qKGtrmB9U9Hon7wf9\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/qKGtrmB9U9Hon7wf9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Presentation acceptance notifications will be emailed to the lead presenter no later than\u00a0<strong>April 16, 2021<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Questions can be directed to Conference Chair &#8211; Dr. Kaye W.
