Tag-Team or Integrated-Team? Developing Your Skills for Honors Team-Teaching

Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 from 12:15-2:15 p.m. in KIPJ – A

Thinking about team-teaching soon? Or have you taught an interdisciplinary course that did not quite meet your expectations? Please join us in April for a two-hour workshop on developing your team-teaching curriculum.

Integrated team-teaching encourages students and faculty to view course subject matters from multiple perspectives. Additionally, team-teaching is a significant part of USD’s Honors Program. Honors students rank team-taught courses as one of their favorite aspects of the program, along with the senior thesis.

Team-teaching can be difficult to implement and organize, however, and some form of guidance is needed. Come participate in this interactive workshop which includes student experiences, discussion of characteristics of quality team-teaching, and an opportunity for faculty to develop their own team-teaching curriculum.

This workshop is especially encouraged for those who are planning to team-teach next year or would like to develop ideas for the future.
