Presented by:
Dr. Esteban del Rio, Associate Provost, Inclusion and Diversity and Associate Professor, Communication Studies
Erica Ruiz, Graduate Student, School of Leadership and Education Sciences
Social class is one of the most deeply felt, and yet unnamed differences on our campus and in our country. Some students call it the “elephant in the room” at USD. This interactive training session addresses the theme of diversity and inclusion with respect to social class. We will discuss critical and intellectually generous approaches to class in higher education, and you will come away with skills and ideas about how to facilitate productive discussions about class difference with students.
Lunch will be provided.
