Is it possible to make exams more of a learning experience for students and less about grades? The review session, exam itself, and post exam debriefing can all contribute to increasing student learning. In this session, we discuss strategies for engaging student learning throughout the exam process and through demonstrations of knowledge alternative to the traditional exam.
Fabulous First Fridays are monthly drop in discussion sessions about common classroom issues which are facilitated by experienced USD faculty. Ample time is given to share and tailor approaches to your own classroom situations and supplemental resource materials are provided. We welcome all faculty members to join us and discover, or rediscover, some of the best, research and experiential based, practices for teaching and learning.
