Tuesday, November 5th, 2013 from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. in KIPJ-I
Presented by:Dr. Vidya Nadkarni, Professor of Political Science and Dr. Emily Edmunds-Poli, Associate Professor of Political Science
Are you looking for new and interactive ways to teach students important analytical concepts? This workshop provides some ideas for using pedagogical games to illustrate concepts such as how structure (social, political, economic, environmental) and capabilities (wealth, power, resources) shape action; and how cultural values and circumstances affect identity and rational decision-making. We will introduce and play the games and discuss how they can help create an experiential framework that encourages students to contemplate how the world works.
