Adjunct Faculty Reception: Library & Information Literacy Services

Friday April 19th 2013 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Salomon Hall

All adjunct and part-time Faculty members are invited to the Center for Educational Excellence’s annual Adjunct Faculty Reception. This year, Copley Librarian’s Hugh Burkhart and Lisa Burgert will join Monica Stufft to share information about the Information Literacy Pilot Project at USD and Information Literacy services available from Copley Library.

Advancing academic excellence is primary to USD’s mission, and this is a fantastic opportunity to discuss ways faculty can better equip themselves, as well as their students, to understand information literacy. Attendees will leave with an understanding of information literacy and practical ways to incorporate it into their courses. The goal of the Copley Librarians is to have an information literate community who recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information in an ethical manner.

Please join us for this wine & cheese event. Kindly RSVP by April 15, 2013
