About Cris Bravo – PhD in Leadership Studies: Social Entrepreneurship

Cris Bravo

Cris is passionate about helping businesses bring social change. An entrepreneur himself, Cris´ research interests are in social entrepreneurship and social innovation, and he is a visiting professor in the School of Business at Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico City.

Cris has over 20 years of business experience; he has collaborated with companies like Nike, Michelin and Carlsberg, and has developed several entrepreneurial ventures in the functional beverage segment in Central America.  From 2011-2014, previous to starting his doctoral program, Cris served as the Dean of the School of Business at Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnologia (ULACIT) in Costa Rica.  In 2012, he was recognized among the 40 under 40 most influential business people in Costa Rica.

Cris has presented his findings  in conferences like the International Conference on Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation, he International Leadership Association, and the International Research Conference in Social Enterprises.

Cris currently helps nonprofit organizations develop social business models.  He also offers training and workshops to organizations that want to develop truly inclusive workplaces.
