Participation Opportunities

Want to feel like you’re making a difference? Want to contribute to our understanding of how media influence people? There are many opportunities to participate in research with the aMP lab. We often seek people just like yourself to help us by completing a survey, sitting down for an interview, or being willing to view media messages and answer questions about those messages. These opportunities often come with some form of financial incentive as well. Visit this page often to see what opportunities we have for you in the aMP lab, or complete the form below and we will contact you should a study be developed that needs people like you to help out!

Be interviewed for a book. Earn $10 gift card.

Do you feel like you have a strong connection to a fictional character or a celebrity? Are you happy when they’re happy, sad when they’re sad? Do you see this person as a friend even though you’ve never met in real life? Or do your kids have these sort of connections? We want to talk to you (or your kids). This is an interview study. Someone from our team would meet with you in a public setting and chat with you for approximately 45 minutes about your favorite media character or celebrity. At the end of the 45 minutes, you will receive a gift card as a thank you for participating. Simply contact Dr. Bond at bond@sandiego.edu or email the address on the image below!
