Sustainability Environmental Education Development (SEED) Grants
The Office of Sustainability is proud to offer SEED Grants to students and faculty for the 2013-2014 year. These grants will be given to applicants who aim to improve campus sustainability efforts through their research.
Students (both undergraduate and graduate level), staff, and faculty are eligible to apply. Proposals may be submitted individually or by groups.
Amount of Funding:
The committee shall award a maximum of $2,000 for each proposal received. If in the event there are funds remaining, the committee will consider additional requests. A total of $5,000 is available.
Requirements for all participants:
1. Project Working Title and Goal/Purpose
2. A two-page (maximum) project description
3. A thorough timeline of the project
4. A budget detailing the costs of materials, books, equipment, travel, etc.
5. A letter of recommendation from dean/department chair/professor/supervisor
Grant awardees may be asked participate in panel discussions and or other events sponsored by the Office of Sustainability.
Copies of presentations or manuscripts resulting from research must be submitted to the Office of Sustainability for online publication upon completion.
Any recipient failing to meet any of these requirements will forfeit his or her Sustainability Research Grant funds.
Grants will be awarded by November 8, 2013.
