Earth Month 2014

The “Be Blue, Go Green” motto at USD isn’t just words. It’s an every day pledge!


April is Earth Month at the University of San Diego. This year the culminating event will be the Earth Day Celebration event on Thursday, April 24 during dead hours at Plaza Mayor in front of the SLP. At this fun event, the winners of Changemaker Challenge will be announced. There will be live music, free food and lots of prizes and give-aways! Help us celebrate the earth at the following events hosted this month:



NEW Earth Month 2014 poster-page-001*1: Natural History Museum: meet at Outdoor Adventures at 12pm. Free transportation to “Water: A California Story” exhibit. Free admission with student ID



*5:  Suzie’s Farm: Join the Gardening Class for a fun day at Suzie’s Farm. Cost is $18- includes transportation and tour. Email for more information



*6: Sustainability Mass: Founders Mass will include a special focus on sustainability, fair trade, and stewardship for the environment 7pm and 9pm



*15: Kyle Theirmann speaker 7pm Warren Auditorium



*22: Adrian Grenier 7pm Shiley Theatre



*24: Earth Day Celebration at USD! Live music, free food, tons of giveaways!! SLP Plaza Mayor 12-2pm



*25: Bike Tune-Up: free bike tune-up from 9am-12pm at Outdoor Adventures



*26: Roast and Roll: Student’s for Fair Trade will bike to fair trade coffee shops around San Diego. Meet at Outdoor Adventures at 10:30am



*27: EarthFair at Balboa Park- Residential Life will provide free tram service from USD to Balboa Park. Meet in front of the UC- trams will run on the hour from 11am-3pm



*29: Green Jobs Panel: Interested in a job in the sustainability field? Meet local businesses and organizations! 12pm UC 128
