This time of year is always fun as new cohorts of graduate students arrive. I had the privilege of meeting with the new Master of Science in Executive Leadership (MSEL) students last week, and the new International MBA (IMBA) and Full Time MBA cohorts this week. It is fascinating to hear the backgrounds of these students and to tell them a bit about what they can expect over the next two years here at the USD School of Business.
I’m sure I’ll have the opportunity to share more about these students in the months to come, so let me highlight one incredible fact. At an International MBA lunch on Monday, I sat with five IMBA students. Those five were from three different countries and had interesting insights to share with each other (and me). As I was leaving the lunch, Professor Svetina told me that at his table of eight there were six students and two faculty members from eight different countries. That’s right – eight people at the table, and eight different countries. How great is that?
These students have worked all over the world in careers such as supply chain, consulting, marketing, law and finance, to name just a few. It’s going to be a fun and engaging two years!
