David Salisbury, BBA ’95, Alumni Council Chair
We have fantastic alumni at the USD School of Business. In his role as Alumni Council Chair, David Salisbury knows how true this is. David is director of Business Development for the West Coast Region at Mintz Levin. He is excited about welcoming several new members to the Council leadership team in this new year.
Alex Barnes, who was most recently a special projects analyst for Sempra Energy’s Risk Analysis & Management Group, will serve as Vice Chair. Hope Mago of Huntington Capital in La Jolla will serve as the Secretary of Finance, and Michael Cole, vice president and general manager of Home Care Extraordinaire in southern California, will be Secretary of Records.
The work of the Council is to help alumni make connections – to other alumni, current students, and the school. From my travels and meetings with alumni around the country and the world, I know how much they love the school and have great memories from their years here. The Alumni Council does good work in helping to keep the USD experience close to them long after their student days are over.
To further their goals, the Council has formed three subcommittees: the Education Committee, chaired by member, Lynn Hijar; the Social Committee, chaired by Ben Wood, and the Giving Back Committee, chaired by Victoria Crown. Other Council members include Cathie Deal, Missy Hart, Jason Sweeney, Burt Brigida, Sean Ferrel, Kyle Fitzgerald and Tim Lyons.
I encourage you to get involved with this energetic group and join them in keeping the USD connections strong.
