Congratulations to our USD team of undergraduate supply chain management students for taking top honors for the second year in a row at the Institute for Supply Management™’s (ISM) Services Group Conference in Phoenix. Jessica Dey, Adam Sitcoscy, and Austin Slakey competed last week against teams from many schools, including Arizona State University, Michigan State University, Rutgers University, and Western Michigan University.
The three students chosen to represent USD were selected through a rigorous competitive process open to all supply chain management undergraduate students and organized by the Supply Chain Management Institute (SCMI). The students were prepared well through USD’s personalized support by faculty, staff, administration; a broad curriculum, including industry guest speakers and facility tours; and focused preparation, including research and practice sessions.
They represented USD well. We are pleased to hear that our students are gaining a reputation at this supply chain conference for their ability to combine their studies in other subjects, such as Finance, with their supply chain knowledge, and for the caliber of their presentations.
