When I arrived at Kuwait International Airport, I was surprised and delighted to be met by two School of Business (SBA) alumni. Abdulaziz AlSabah and Abdullah AlShuwayeb welcomed me to Kuwait City with a brief driving tour to help me get my bearings and coffee at an outdoor café before dropping me off at my hotel.
At dinner, I had the opportunity to reconnect with several alumni I had met on my trip last year and to meet Saleh AlTunaib, who graduated last year with a Master of Science in Accountancy (MACC). The long hours of airplane travel faded into the background in the midst of our active dinner conversation.
We talked about USD, the faculty and the amazing experience these alumni had there. They all loved it! We also discussed American politics, which they know better than many Americans, Kuwaiti politics, and the global economy. This is an impressive, fun group. It’s great to experience first-hand the truly global USD community.
