For the past four decades I have dedicated my research to studying the phenomenal process of how the brain deals with memory. I look at the mechanisms of how and where this organ acquires, forms, processes, stores, and retrieves memories. I attempt to do this at both the cellular and behavioral levels. Research in this field must be at the forefront for Neuroscience in this millennium. Clearly, without memory this is nothing, just void. Fascinating indeed.

I also teach in the area of human physiology using laboratory experiences in the field of Exercise Physiology, allowing an understanding of how the body works through problems of stress. Such experiences are essential since my premise is: Do it to understand it.

Throughout my career I have been fortunate to have had, and continue to have, outstanding colleagues for collaborators. Their names appear later in my profile. I further have enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, collaborations with many student scholars, which come up from the thousands who I have taught, both now and formally in earlier fields of interest.
