CEE Travel Grant Presentation: Inclusive Education on Sexuality

Inclusive Education Series

Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 12:15 to 2:15 p.m. in Serra Hall 204

Presented by:
Emily Reimer-Barry, Assistant Professor, Theology and Religious Studies; and CEE Travel Grant Recipient
Conor McLaughlin, PhD Student and Graduate Teaching Assistant, School of Leadership and Education Sciences; and Graduate Assistant, Center for Inclusion and Diversity

Should USD integrate sexuality education across our broad curricular offerings? If so, how? Is your classroom a safe space for all students? Would you like to teach about sexuality in your classroom, but you wonder about where to begin and what to include?

Please join us for this interactive workshop on integrating sexual diversity in the college classroom. After a brief presentation by Emily Reimer-Barry and Conor McLaughlin, you will have the opportunity to discuss strategies to consider and pitfalls to avoid as you begin to think about how you might best integrate sexual diversity into your pedagogical approach. Representatives from the Women’s Center and the Center for Health and Wellness Promotion will also speak about the resources available for students and faculty.

Lunch will be provided. Kindly RSVP by Tuesday March 18, 2014
