Friday, December 6, 9:30-11:30 a.m. in MRH (SOLES) 135
The end of the semester is often a hectic time with a rush to make sure we get through all the content we had planned. There is little time for us to think about where we are and where we have been. However, the end of the semester can be a perfect time to review student learning and be reflective about our courses. During December’s session, we will discuss various ways in which faculty can reflect about their semester and build upon what they have learned for the next semester.
This topic will extend into January’s session: How to Start Off Your Semester By Reflecting on the Past: Strategies for Engagement on the First Day of Classes
Fabulous First Fridays are monthly drop in discussion sessions about common classroom issues which are facilitated by experienced USD faculty. Ample time is given to share and tailor approaches to your own classroom situations and supplemental resource materials are provided. We welcome all faculty members to join us and discover, or rediscover, some of the best, research and experiential based, practices for teaching and learning.
Please note: you are welcome to drop in and out of the sessions as your time allows.
You can register for this session in one of three ways:
